Affirmations

I’ve been writing affirmations as lines for several months. I haven’t written any lately, but want to pick it back up, given my emotional state. I’ve asked for suggestions on both Twitter and BlueSky and I suppose I’ll ask here, as well. I am showing photos of a few I have done to give you an idea of what I am looking for to spark ideas. Also, I see line writing as a form of discipline, even if it’s standing on its own.

This is one I have written multiple times and shared about before: The lies people tell about me are none of my business.

These are ones I came up with on my own and haven’t repeated, but may: I do not carry the burden of someone else’s heartache. and Someone else’s need for a villain does not make me one.

These were suggestions by people I follow! I am spanked because I am loved and I am worthy of love, affection, and spanking.

Do you ever write lines? Do you assign lines? Are they more of the “punishment” variety of “I will not do X” or are they more like an affirmation, like I’ve written above – and written about before?

  1. I adore lines. It’s a tad difficult for me to do a lot of them by hand, due to my injuries, but I still love giving them an honest shot. I also love assigning them! Most of the time, I also aim to do affirmation, more than correction with them.

Early on in my spanko journey, I was a bit more sadistic with the length of the lines I’d assign, but they would always be meant to bring some positive headspace.

I personally do not like that “Write For Me” site, due to all the ways it can be used to mess with others while writing, but I have posted a few affirmation lines there, just for anyone who needs a reminder that they’re loved and cared for ❤

  2. Hi, Marie! My Sir is a big fan of lines and often assigns them in the forms of affirmations or reminders. One of my all time favorites is, “I am special, important, and loved.” Another set he often will give me is, “Even when things are difficult, I need to strive to protect my health.” Hope that gives you some ideas 😊
