Tiny Spanking Story 2026 #1

It’s October 1st! I am going to attempt to bring my challenge back to life from last year and write a short story, poem, vignette, etc every day. We’ll start with a slightly formalized vignette version that I originally wrote about on Fetlife with a photo of this Harrods shop clothes brush I found on eBay…

I imagine this brush being applied to unruly boys who don’t want to try on suits for a summer wedding.

Mummy was exhausted, hot, and tired of arguing, so she simply grabbed the suit brush, caught Henry with his trousers off, put her foot on the bench in the changing room, neatly tumbled his lanky form across her knee, and smacked his bottom with it until he was sniffling and much more compliant.

Being a teenager, this was very embarrassing for Henry, who tried to keep his cries to a minimum. It was no use, the fitting room attendant and everyone within the men’s department heard his bottom smacking and the tongue lashing Mummy delivered along with it.

August Book Round Up

Ok, this is a first. I didn’t finish a single book in August. I was feeling stressed about this, but actually I am ok with it. I had a lot going on! I was getting settled in a new country, figuring out asynchronous remote work, traveling to see friends and new places, and generally just very busy. My brain didn’t have the space to listen to or read books. I did listen to many of the books I started and failed to finish in July, but just didn’t finish anything.

July Book Round Up

Although July was event slower than June, that’s just life sometimes. I made it through two books and one I really enjoyed and the other was just mostly ok.

  1. Book 2 of Alexander McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street series is called Espresso Tales and it was just as delightful as the first. Following wee 7-year old Bertie Pollock more specifically was a highlight, though I do rather enjoy the storyline focusing on Pat.
  2. I first heard of Waist Deep by Linda Maja Ernst when I saw a review in the NYT with the tagline, “Linea Maja Ernst is polyamorous, but her wife isn’t. Although they love each other, they still haven’t quite “figured it out,” much like some of the characters in her debut novel.” and it caught my attention. Although I think this is a good description of the characters in her debut novel, it was more about the inner turmoil of the characters and their views on relationships, than actual poly relationships outright. I did enjoy this, because representation matters and seeing these kinds of stories is fantastic, but it wasn’t quite what I expected. I hope to discuss it in a book club chat if anyone else on the discord reads it.

There you have it. Finished 2…now for August, where I started several books, and finished none. I’ll talk about that tomorrow, though.
