Adult Uniform Collection

Someone recently asked me about my uniform collection and my favorites. The way I do uniform with Paul, isn’t so much about what I like or want (which makes it discipline, obvs.) but I do enjoy it of course (acknowledging yet again that enjoy is complicated). I don’t wear them otherwise, because it’s not about the typical naughty school girl role-play, and that’s what most people want.

So, my favorite is whatever he wants me to wear and will enjoy seeing me in – though I do have versions that I particularly like! I like the way the pleats of a kilt look more than a box pleat skirt, for example. I love my gymslip but getting my tie flat under and the sash right are added details. It’s a uniform, not a dress, but it’s not the most…flattering? item of clothing I own. There’s a part of me that loves that it is practical and functional and so very clearly uniform, and still looks cute without being about how flattering it is (and of corse, flattering is subjective because Paul loves the gymslip). It is not meant to be fashion – it’s meant to be uniform. It also makes me feel more like a child than any of my other uniform pieces, which…is certainly a thing.

Anyway. Finding uniform items in adult sizes was something I thought would be very difficult. It took some work but wasn’t impossible, so I’ll share here what I have and links where I can. These are not affiliate links, just me sharing. I am an adult women’s 2X or US 18/20/22, with a 44-46” bust and very wide hips and I have found options at all of these that fit me well, not just passably.

I have two skirts from Lands’ End – box pleat ones in navy and gray (it’s currently only showing in black and khaki) and have been instructed to wear the gray one the most. I love these because Lands’ End has an actual women’s uniform section, so they feel real. Also from Lands’ End I have a uniform shirt but haven’t yet worn it yet (I don’t think it’s this exact shirt, but I can’t seem to find the one I have). It’s a more typical lighter weight material for a button down, compared to my others. I also have this tie in navy plaid from them as well. This, the gray box pleat skirt, and a shirt from Flynn & O’Hara were my first complete uniform that I wore.

From Flynn & O’Hara, which is a real uniform supplier with an in-person store near my house, I have my shirts. They are a heavier weight poly-cotton that is apparently more authentic. I also have two kilts from F&O, one in black watch plaid and one in gray. I have a matching black watch plaid tie also (not on their site, so can’t link it!), and green knee socks to go with it, along with a matching green sweater which I actually found on eBay. A full kit! I also have a pair of nylon white fold over knee socks from here, but have only worn them once. If I wear knee socks, they tend to be straight pull ones.

I have two skirts from French Toast which is another uniform supply website – both knife pleat. One gray and one brown plaid – listed under their “adult” section where they have plus sizes. I’ve not worn either of them yet but I had them shortened a bit a few months ago so they had a more flattering fit (the knee length was truly abysmal, I promise!). They’re quite short now. I’m told this isn’t a bad thing.

My gymslip, arguably Paul’s favorite and my most authentic uniform piece, is from Albert Prendergast who makes authentic UK uniform reproductions (or sources directly from uniform brands) in adult sizes. I ordered the complete uniform kit with the grey gymslip and had it taken up a few inches to be just above knee length, as I am on the short side. I have a pair of boys short uniform trousers on the way as well and I sincerely hope they fit (they arrived while I was writing this and reader, they fit! quite snug, but they fit!). Because I got the full uniform set, I also have a Banner UK brand uniform shirt but the sizing runs small so it doesn’t fit. The gymslip came with a navy sash (I chose ((er, well, was advised what to choose?)) the color for accessories), navy gym knickers, and a blue and navy striped tie along with grey knee socks. I hope to get a summer uniform dress and a bottle green gymslip in the future – these are pricier investment pieces, but the authenticity is worth it! I have several other pairs of school knickers from AP as well, in black, royal, green, and the aforementioned navy.

I was able to snag some Aitken & Niven (a Scottish uniform shop that was taken over by a chain) deadstock for a real Scottish school in Edinburgh via Stevenson’s a few months ago. I got a tie, two sweaters, and socks that turned out to be toddler size – oops. The sweater and tie are from the same school though and paired with a grey kilt (I wore it with my grey box pleat skirt first) is a very real and regulation set.

In terms of miscellaneous accessories, I have straight pull knee socks from Target and Amazon, as well as ankle socks I found at Walmart. I have plenty of full fitting white cotton brief panties and boys white underpants (from UK shop M&S) to go with my shorts. I have black patent M&S t-bar shoes but also have black Doc Marten Polley Mary Janes which have the right tone as well.

The black watch plaid set I have is very typical of an American Catholic or private school and I used a uniform from a school I found by googling, to inform the pieces I got from F&O’Hara. That was more of an indulgence for me than going by Paul’s preferences – I’m not sure why it was so appealing to have that – maybe because the completeness of it felt the most accessible? I have worn it to see it all together, but haven’t been put in it (yet) or worn it for discipline. I don’t wear my uniforms on my own very often (or at all – it’s a complicated headspace for me) but tend to want them to be formal and complete. These are not the fashion-y or fetish-y school uniforms you’ll see at a lot of scene school events – no yellow or purple skirts, unbuttoned shirts, or heeled shoes. I want my uniforms to be as close to real as possible – that’s what makes it discipline.

It may seem like a lot of variations but having the options is nice and also can allow for adjustments which can be used to layer that feeling of discipline. Or chastisement. Or punishment. Or even embarrassment.

  1. My favorite item is the Box Pleat Skirt because I can’t imagine anyone trying to spank a school girl over that skirt. It is too thick. By design it must be turned over. At school I never had to wear a uniform so I don’t have a colthing fetish but I do see the importance of wearing relatively thin dress pants when getting the paddle. So no blue jeans for me.

  2. Clothing is SO important, even if not taken to the level of the full-on uniform. No matter how the world sees my lovely my bride attired — and she has a fashion sense that results in complete strangers stopping her on the the street here and abroad to tell her she is fabulous — she is wearing “a uniform.”

Her underpants — always, every day, from jeans to business suit to ball gown — are very full cotton briefs. Always. Only.

It is a “uniform.” Secret. Internal. But powerful for her, and pleasing to me, in the way a gymslip might be if that were our specific thing and if we were less private.

    1. I love this. I often wear full white cotton panties but it’s mostly for me! I like the idea of being told what to wear, also.

    2. I couldn’t agree more! My wife is exactly the same – no matter how she dresses to the outside world (which is always most flattering and tasteful), underneath it all, her plain white utilitarian bra and full cut, plain white cotton, elastic-leg panties serve as a subtle, yet constant reminder of the occasionally-naughty “schoolgirl” that still lives within her psyche, and she’s not “too old” to have those pretty panties pulled down for a blistering, tear-producing spanking, should she so foolishly choose to misbehave…

  3. Your uniform collection is fantastic. I am glad it’s authentic uniforms and not the sexual uniforms. My wife has recently transitioned to wear authentic school uniforms as well full time inside and outside the house. She will be subject to the same discipline as you for her failed uniform inspections with writing lines, essays and corner and spankings. Have you ever worn your uniforms outside in public?

    1. Hi Jason – glad you appreciate it. I actually haven’t worn any of my uniform items since September 2024 and I am in the process of listing them all for sale. I have worn a uniform in public once – but it was generic and not identifiable. In a big city, to run some errands. I wouldn’t support an adult wearing them full time in public in that way, I think that skirts the limits of what I think is appropriate in terms of subjecting the public to a fetish activity. Especially authentic ones and particularly close to where the actual school is located.

      1. I am sorry to hear that. I figured that was the case after reading your blog. Her uniforms are very generic and the plaid patterns of the skirts don’t match any of the schools in our area. I would think it would be okay since they are Lands End adult sizes and can be worn out and about. The Albert Prendergast Traditional Grey Box Pleat Gymslip is not worn around us as well. I see woman wearing ties in mainstream fashion. Hopefully traditional uniforms won’t get to many looks. I will be wearing school uniforms as well. Matching my ties to her skirt plaid patterns and her tie. We both like the look and the strict discipline it takes to wear a proper uniform along with mindset of wearing an authentic school uniform provides.
