That’s Show Biz, Kids!

I asked last week what folks would like to see me writing about and one of my BlueSky followers posed the following question about my time as a spanking model: How did you start doing it, and what are your thoughts about it now, looking back at leaping into it?

This is something I talk about fairly openly to my friends or people that know me, but I am not sure I have ever written about it or mentioned it here – or on most of my blogs since I stopped doing videos – which I only did for a short period during the summer of 2007, and once or twice after that in 2008. I knew I wanted to make spanking videos from the moment I stumbled upon my first, during a clandestine and furtive internet search in the summer of 2001, while I was awake far too late using my grandparents dial up internet. I won’t do the math for you, but I was entirely too young to have both unfettered access to the internet and to be watching porn – but alas, here we are wink. If you’re particularly curious, it was a Dallas video. I was astonished. I came back to his videos as the years went on and eventually saw his videos with Sierra Salem. That’s when I knew I wanted to blog and make videos, also!

Bedtime Stories & Other Additions

I recently added a new page titled Bedtime Stories – this is a page under the “Kink Resources” menu that holds direct links to some of my absolute favorite spanking stories – the ones I keep coming back to. Some are newer, some are old “classics” from the Usenet days, but all are stories that speak to me in some way. I’ve left off demographic info like author, pairing, etc. I didn’t do this to be shady, but because if you’re here and you’re reading what I write and enjoying it enough to want to see what *I* enjoy, then I suspect you trust I wouldn’t share something alarming. All stories have info directly at the source with content, etc. so you can truly decide if you want to read them.

If you do, I’d love to hear what you think of my beloved favorites.

Other additions – I’ve added some new links to my main Kinky Resources page, mostly to blogs I enjoy, but this is likely to be divided out soon. I’ll probably have the main page with directions to the pages for My Toybox, the aforementioned Bedtime Stories, a page dedicated to the Reading Room section with blogs and other sites, as well as pages for my favorite Kink Shopping (implements, etc), communities, etc.

I am working on a post about my time spent as a spanking video model way-back-when, so look for that early this week along with Part 2 of Lending a Hand to Disobedience. Hope you’re having a great weekend and enjoying this preview of spring weather!

Mismatch in Kink Partnerships

As it so happens, my last post was my 50th! Wish it had been something more meaningful than my return from vacation, ha! I started this blog in January 2024 with the hopes of re-building some sort of community and re-connecting with other people who share this thing we do, and get back to the sort of long-form writing I miss the most about the earlier online-spanking-community days. I think I’ve succeeded. There aren’t a lot of readers on a day-to-day but I know folks are here and engaged and that brings me joy and keeps me interested in writing and sharing – both of which are good for me whether there’s an audience or not.

Onward to kink mismatches…

Many people believe that if they partner with someone who shares their fetish, everything will fall into place – I was one of them, too! The reality was much different once I finally started searching for a life/nesting partner and started to explore connections with people I wasn’t perfectly aligned with, kink wise.
