The August Book Round Up

Well, August was a slightly slower month for books – not for any nefarious reason, really. I had a hard time focusing to finish the book I had going while I was in Vegas at the end of the month, and a few I read earlier in the month were longer, so it naturally lead to reading slightly less overall. I’ve been dealing with COVID fog this week so only just finished my last August read here at the beginning of September. Also, my kiddo started school and that was all consuming, even though I was sick and couldn’t attend meet the teacher or drop her off at all! The March Book Round Up

We have survived Q1! We made it! It’s officially April! My life to-do list includes: filing an amended tax return because of a late, forgotten 1099-MISC, buy a new pair of Birkenstocks, send off current worn-out Birkenstocks in for sole repair, swap out the rug in my office/guestroom…oh, and read more books. March was an active reading month for me because we went on vacation! Our little family took our first cruise together (I went on my first cruise in September with a vanilla friend) to the Bahamas and it was lovely. We were late to our first stop in Cape Canaveral so we missed our excursion, but got to see a SpaceX Starlink rocket launch (fuck Musk, but go science!) and it was really cool. A very relaxing and enjoyable trip.
