Leaving Las Vegas, 2025 – a Party Report – Part 1

Note: this post will have photos! both vanilla and spanking photos – so read after the jump at your own risk and ideally not in public! also, I know I have a bunch of blog comments I haven’t responded to – I do plan to, so sorry about that!

It used to be a common occurrence, back in the heyday of spanko blogging and even as far back as the usenet newsgroups, for folks attending parties (primarily Shadow Lane back then but then later also Florida Moonshine, Chicago Crimson Moon, Boardwalk Badness in AC, etc) to write “party reports” to tell the stories of the weekend, talk about play and socializing, and generally share their experiences. Some of this still takes place ad-hoc on Fetlife, but with less blogs around, there is less of this in the specific way it used to be. When I started writing this, I was tucked into the bed in my room, overlooking the pool here at the Plaza Hotel & Casino. There is a small loveseat style couch, a small dresser (truly too small, to be honest), and a desk. The room is very spacious, though the bathroom is oddly small, and the closet is part of the open sink area instead of a closed space. The toilet & tub share a room that is nearly impossible to navigate closing a door in without stepping into the tub. It’s been a nice space to spend 6 days though. Especially compared to last year – I’ll write about some of the positive memories from last year, after I post this years.

An important note is that last year, I was meant to spend the weekend with three very close friends. Of course, testing positive for COVID put a damper on that. Not only could I not attend the party because of this, I also couldn’t spend as much time with these friends as I wanted. As a result, one of them, who struggles with mental health issues and was going through a particularly rough time that weekend herself, took a lot of it out on me. On Monday, when I finally had been testing negative and had had a chance to play so I was overly emotional and very droppy, she insisted we speak – when I got to her room, she verbally attacked me to the point of a panic attack. In tears, I texted my husband, asking him to call me in the next five minutes, and tell me he needed me to FaceTime our kiddo, so I could extract myself. I really thought I wouldn’t be able to get away. She was so upset and so convinced that I had abandoned her all weekend (even though I had covid and barely left my room and she was attending party events) and nothing I said was moving the conversation towards a conclusion. A lot happened in the weeks and months after this moment, that lead to my anxiety leading up to this party. She was going to be attending and we are very much no longer friends and no longer speaking. I was afraid merely seeing her would trigger me into a panic attack again. I was positively terrified to get in the elevators and risk being alone there with her in such a small space. That set the tone for a lot of my weekend, as one of hyper-vigilance, which was exhausting. I knew I’d be able to walk away from her, but I was not at all convinced she wouldn’t verbally attack me again if given the opportunity, based on the original encounter and other events. It’s something I haven’t felt comfortable talking about, but it’s a part of my story that belongs to me.

I arrived on Wednesday afternoon, picked up my rental car (which was a lengthy saga since I chose an inexpensive option – thus, lots of hoops), made a stop at Target for a pickup order and some extras. Once at the hotel, I immediately ran into folks from our group at check in and right after. I unpacked, because I am one of those people who likes to completely unpack at hotels into drawers and tuck my suitcases away right away. Eventually, I needed to eat. I had dinner in the hotels restaurant, Hash House a Go Go with long time friends A & P and a lovely new friend from the UK, C. I discovered that both the mac ‘n’ cheese with chorizo and the fun fruity drinks were delicious. I ended up eating there a LOT – unfortunately, my wallet didn’t appreciate this nearly as much. The food was good but quite expensive for everyday eats, especially as I am used to staying off the strip with more of a lower key diner experience. In my experience, food outside of the fancier hotels is typically fairly affordable and $25-$35 for an entree is not quite. It made up for the price by being delicious though.

On Thursday, I got breakfast with ANOTHER new friend, M, who I had seen around the telegram chats for a while. We were both awake on east coast time. Hash House has amazingly large and fun (and pricy) coffee drinks and unlike most of the dinner options, a reasonably priced breakfast that was pretty good. After breakfast, I headed back to the airport to pick up my friend K, and then back to Target for their snacks and some drinks for myself. The first event of the party was set to start mid-afternoon, in the hotel bar. Registration, drinks, and socializing were on the agenda. I got my badge and was also able to deliver some ebony hairbrushes to individuals who bought them from me in advance. I met a whole bunch of new people, including several I’d been chatting with online. Eventually, I got overstimulated by the loud conversations and music, and headed back to my room to rest a bit – but not before running into one of the first people I’d ever met in person in the scene, and his new (ok, they’ve been together five years) girlfriend who was super friendly and open.

Then K and I got dinner with A and P before heading back upstairs to change for the first night of open suite party events. I picked out a blue seersucker dress with a cute lemon print that I hadn’t yet worn, and miraculously had matching lemon panties to wear with it! I really enjoyed this matching ensemble and it was also well received.

The suites were all located on a single floor that was only Oasis party attendees so there was a security desk between the elevators and the entrance to the hallway, to check every single person had a badge for the party. This is common at large hotel parties. The suites were busy Thursday night and I spent most of my time in one where several people I already knew were hanging out and I felt very comfortable. Play was going on everywhere. I played with someone new (another M…) who I barely got to meet last year (I bought several COVID tests off him last year but we never got to formally meet) – he gave me an excellent hand spanking for my first of the party. Then the old friend (another M also…) I ran into earlier, wanted to spank me. He used his hand a bit and then his belt – which was kind of mild because it was a thin dress belt. I teased him and told him he ought to buy a leather strap at the vendors fair the next night. Then, I had an uncomfortable interaction with someone I don’t personally know (but share friends with) making some assumptions about spanking me with a hairbrush, but it didn’t put a damper on the night luckily.

A bit later, a friend was being spanked on one of the beds and I was watching, laughing, chatting – I said (a bit cheekily, of course) to the same person who’d spanked me earlier, who was also watching, “I probably would be a lot quieter if I was being spanked.” so he spanked me again – oh no! 😉 Something he said while spanking me went right to my core though. It was something like, “You got very quiet when I started spanking you – I call that instant contrition when taken over the knee.” – what a hot phrase…instant contrition. Hand spankings are the way to start a party weekend, for sure, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be hot and vibey AF!

I called it a night shortly after that – I was tired and hoped to get some sleep. I didn’t quite, but that’s how it goes at parties!

Friday morning I really wanted to go to the outlets, an old tradition from my Shadow Lane days, and I missed it. After a bit of a snafu of a morning, I went to the converse outlet, found two pair I loved, bought them, and cried all the way to my next stop – Lane Bryant for more panties. I used to make this converse run with a former close friend that I miss dearly and going alone really hit me in my feels. It was one thing to go without him and quite another to not be able to taunt him via text about my trip. I bought ten more pairs of panties at LB to supplement the 30 I’d brought with me (stop laughing!), and headed back.

Friday morning was a lot of classes that didn’t particularly interest me (but were popular and I heard great things about!), but I was back in plenty of time to attend the F/F party – an event specifically for women and non-binary folks to socialize and play. I was very anxious about going, since I hadn’t previously played much with women and wasn’t openly bisexual before this year. I didn’t play at this event (no one showed interest and I was feeling entirely too insecure to ask directly) but I enjoyed chatting with friends and watching a very much planned-in-advance sorority rush hazing role-play that was hilarious and entertaining. The theme was sorority rush so this fit in well. I wore a sort of tennis style dress and actually swapped with someone else wearing the same dress because I felt mine fit a little big and she felt hers was too short. We popped into a closet and voila, we were much happier in the others original size! Mine was originally sage green and hers was black.

Something else I did Friday was buy this mirror from Target since my room didn’t have one!

Friday night was also the vendor’s fair, which the Oasis team calls Spanko Wonderland, which had a theme of “greek life” – I went in jeans, converse, and a T-shirt. I figured if I wanted to test any implements, I’d be more comfortable in jeans and I am generally most comfortable in jeans anyway. I did end up buying a hefty leather strap from Aaron at Alpine Impact (he typically makes wood paddles), as well as some bare bottom balm (I think that’s what it’s called) from the “Botany Bitch” – a woman from the LA scene. During this time, there was a very exciting craft activity – a paddle decorating contest! It was silly and fun and I participated by making an absolutely terrifying rainbow “weapon of ass destruction” covered in gems, googly eyes, and feathers. I did not win, but I had fun! I was glad of the jeans, though, because Aaron did test out the strap I bought from him, on me. I loved it and quipped that he could have done that for an hour. Cheekily, he said he would later. We weren’t able to connect for that over the weekend, but hopefully in the future!

For the open suites Friday night, I swapped my jeans for daisy dukes, an outfit I felt most confident in, and headed upstairs. I had a security shift checking badges from 11pm-midnight and had hoped I might play beforehand. I chatted with some friends and then A, who was masc presenting that night, found a quieter room in which to spank me for forgetting my room key and getting locked out not once, but twice, already. This was the first time they spanked me and it was…wonderful. He used his hand and then a hairbrush and scolded me perfectly. It wasn’t overly hard but I nearly cried from that alone, and it was really very needed. I felt very seen by their scolding and then literally held as we had a little after spanking cuddle.

Soon, the person I was doing security with, and I, headed to the elevator bank. A came with us, because I was anxious about running into the former friend I was avoiding. All I had to do was look at badges and send people without them, back to their rooms. Most of my shift was boring and uneventful. Unfortunately, near the end, that person got off the elevator, completely ignored the security table, and walked quickly to the hallway and disappeared. My shift partner and I didn’t even get to ask for their badge but A, who was standing called after them, including by name, and they ignored that, too. This instance was reported to party organizers (not by me – I was anxious about being seen as being petty). It’s important that this policy be followed to keep everyone safe and the party organizers in agreement with the hotel. Even if you know someone, you must see their badge, so I was a little dumbfounded. This should transcend these sorts of issues. I showed my badge to plenty of people all weekend that I don’t like or am not friends with. Luckily, my shift ended shortly after that and I was relieved of duty. I chatted a bit with some folks then headed downstairs to A’s room to chat with her husband, P, and show him one of my new vintage tawses. He liked it very much (a genuine P. McRostie Glasgow 3 tail tawse – I’ll post about it when I get it more properly cleaned up) and gleefully said he was going to hit me with it. He gave me 18 in groups of 6. Hot AF. I really wanted more, but it was only Friday and I was trying to pace myself!

Eventually we moved back up to the suites and I put my tawse away in my backpack but P brought a cane with him. The suites were much quieter and I said it seemed a shame a bedroom was so empty and no one was being spanked. That’s how I found myself bent over the end of the bed getting 12 (in two groups of 6) from the cane he’d brought up – it wasn’t a rattan school cane but a military performance cane of some kind? Like a baton for twirling? That was it for me for the night but I got to watch P and A torment Vee (yes, the very same guest blogger!) after she taunted him mercilessly into spanking her. He had his cane with him but declared her to be far too little to cane so he spanked her and then smacked the backs of her thighs like a little girl, while A held them up. It was a highlight of the weekend. Then I went to bed around 4am.

12 of the best

I will continue with a Part 2 tomorrow, and go through Saturday-Tuesday and heading home. Hope you’re enjoying hearing about my time at Oasis! Have you ever been to a big spanking or kink party like this? Would you?

  1. Thank you for sharing your party report. The details and the illustrative pictures were a treat for those who have never been to a spanking party.

  2. Wow, that is a lot to go through, but you are here to tell your story. You are strong, beautiful, and way better than your bully. A mom and a woman with needs and desires.
