June has been B-U-S-Y! Started the month by attending the Scotland v Bolivia warm up game prior to the World Cup. Although we only live about 35 minutes from MetLife stadium, I missed the lottery sign ups and then ticket prices were way out of budget for us to attend. This was really fun because we got to see the Scotland and Bolivian national teams anyway! And Scotland played really well. It was a lot of fun. Going back to one of my previous posts, I tried the face sunscreen from the Korean skincare brand I use daily, CosRX, and had a terrible experience with it. I didn’t do any sort of patch test or anything because I have been using CosRX products for so long with no issue, but I wore the CosRx Vitamin E Vitalizing Sunscreen to the Scotland game, and the next day had a TERRIBLE reaction all along my chin, around my mouth, and nose. I was clearly allergic to something in it. My face was itchy and dry/flakey for days.
The good news is, Cicaplast Baume B5+ balm was a lifesaver. This stuff was *expensive* but worth the investment. I hear some people use it as a diaper rash cream and I can see that! It definitely felt like that as I was putting it on my face. The rash appeared Sunday and by Thursday/Friday it was almost complete cleared up and the balm was super soothing, too. We also met a new spanko friend for dinner after the game, because he was in town from the UK for a few days before heading to TASSP. We almost got stuck in a major storm/downpour but had a nice dinner. A few days letter, I met up with him to take him to a few of the less tourist visited parts of NY and to both Brooklyn and Queens. I love doing vanilla things with kink friends because it just feels so easy.
[I got distracted while writing so I am coming back to this later] Tomorrow, This past Friday, Veruca is coming came over and I am dragging dragged her to a World Cup Fanfest for some freebies. I promised to buy her a soda and if she’s very good, a treat. If she’s not good, she’ll still get the treat but I’ll spank her when we get home. I should probably spank her anyway actually? Like, for good measure? We’ll see. Anyway, I am completely engrossed in the World Cup and have watched almost every daytime game. I haven’t watched the west coast ones that start at midnight eastern time, but pretty much all the rest. I love World Cup season. I played travel soccer when I was a kid, from around age 11 to 16. [She was DISGUSTINGLY good and got her treat but she didn’t get spanked. She did say a lot of naughty words and I made sure Adults knew about it.]
On Saturday it occurred to me I’d not see a lot of people for several months so I decided to go to the Cheeky Party – I hadn’t been to one since January when Alex was in town. Unfortunately, cough one of the people I informed about Vee’s abhorrent language, didn’t appreciate it and spanked me for “snitch tagging” – meanwhile, I was just being a good friend! I was being responsible! Such a good girl, and all! Backfired. Though – one benefit to not having played much at all recently is that it didn’t take much to make an impression. That didn’t stop him from spanking me properly hard though. A hand spanking can be formidable all by itself. The idea that I’d kick and squirm so much I’d get my legs locked from just a hand spanking, is…hot. He also used this nasty paddle, to be extra mean. Great scene, 10/10. Later, as I was saying my goodbyes, another friend asked if he could grab me before I left.
Honestly, this was great for my current state. I’ve really been feeling rejected and discarded so being approached by two people I enjoy playing with, was a real boost. Another firm hand spanking and I drove home tender and content. I have some lingering speckle bruises today and I am deeply pleased with them. This is a busy week but I am going to get my May book round up posted, for sure! And I have another post knocking around here in my head, I think. We’ll see.
What are you reading? Where are you traveling? What are you looking forward to the most this summer?

I think you should take that Veruca girl to Build A Bear and let her get whatever she wants. She seems really nice and sweet and darling.
Only good girls get to go to Build-A-Bear – girls who say “fuck” in public don’t count!
Hi, Marie 😊 Glad for the update and the info on the CosRx Vitamin E Vitalizing Sunscreen. I almost ordered that the other day but probably won’t now as our skin types seem similar. I’ve been using a sunscreen product from The Ordinary which works well, but feels a little heavy when you first apply. Yesterday, I ordered two different CosRX products, though that I’m excited about: 1) The peptide 321 bonding shampoo, and the 2) Pink Peptides Collagen Hydrogel eye patches.
Have you used either of those products? My bestie and I were joking the other day about how in your 40s (we are a bit older than you) it’s all about plants and skin care 😍
I haven’t used either of them! I have used other things from The Ordinary though, and liked them, and didn’t have any sort of reaction. I have used Olaplex shampoo/conditioner – actually used it for well over a year, but I switched to Dr. Groot a few months ago when I saw it at Costco. I have VERY fine hair and ALSO not a lot of it, so I have to wash my hair often – at least every other day but I also do fine washing it every day. I am going to switch to the Kerastase Genesis anti-hair fall line when we move to Scotland, since it has active ingredients you can’t get here. I don’t have really excess shedding to be honest, but I’ve been losing weight and I worry it’ll get worse and also since my hair is thin to begin with, I feel it’s noticeable.
As for plants and skincare…maybe I should share a photo of my giant Monstera next post! Ha! Also, I am on my way to 40, for sure. I turned 37 in January 🙂
Wait, what??? You are moving to Scotland???? That is HUGE!!!
I am having great luck with both the products I mentioned. I love the CosRX under eye cool gel patches. They feel so good 😊
And personally, I would love to see a picture of your giant Monstera! Are you taking it to Scotland with you?
37…sheesh…you’re just a baby 😍 Just teasing, though, I’ve got a decade on you.
Sometimes I forget that not everyone here is on all the other social media. I’ve been posting about the move on Fetlife and Twitter and BlueSky for a few months now! My husband will be on sabbatical and he wanted to do it abroad so he found a project, etc etc. We’ll be living in Edinburgh for just under 6 months, so we aren’t taking anything permanent! I’ll snag a monstera picture for another post soon. I’ll have to look into the under eye patches – I love anything that feels nice!
WOW!!! That is so cool. I visited Edinburgh in 2017 and absolutely loved it. What an amazing opportunity for your family. Thank you for sharing ❤️
