Summer Break!

Oops. Everyone needs a break, right? I didn’t intend to take a break from blogging for June, but it just sort of happened. I started two other blogs after I posted my May Book Round Up – one about bratting (and why I don’t like it – ha!) and one about my first spanking ever, because June 21 was the 20th anniversary of my first “adult” spanking, meaning a spanking from someone who shared my fetish. When I posted this on Fetlife and in a Discord I am in, it occurred to me, some folks who are married to vanilla’s may never get spanked by someone who shares their fetish, and my categorization could feel alienating. That is not my intention. I think perhaps “first spanking with my fetish in mind” would fit better, but it also happened to be with someone who shared it, so that’s an important designation for me. I’m not going to share the details in this post, but I will finish that one and get it posted ASAP.

I was also on vacation for most of June. Or half of it, anyway. Leading up to it was busy at work (and I got a merit raise!) and then the travel to visit family in Germany, was all consuming in both time and mental energy. We visited with all of my husband’s extended family and also took some time for ourselves by visiting the Netherlands for one of the weekends. While there, we did some adventuring, some play, and visited with a kink friend. I was honored to get the opportunity to play with her that weekend, after quite a bit of chatting about the idea and getting to know her over the last year or so. It was lovely and I may write about it eventually. We both shared some photos over on Fetlife in the meantime!

I didn’t read much while away, because it was difficult to listen to audiobooks and our time was so scheduled and we didn’t have childcare – we had grandparent help, which is better than childcare, but that meant time away from kiddo was spent together, not individually. However, I started a new fluffy series during our actual travels and I am looking forward to also getting the June Book Round Up posted, and next month, the July one. As of today, I have read (mostly listened to) 80 books so far this year.

So that’s the update. Still kinky, still here, still trying to write and still with ideas. We are home and the kiddo is in camp and we’re both back to work. Look out for the posts on bratting, my first spanking ever, and what I read in June!
